About Cee Gee
KREAM C.G. is a very humble and god-fearing individual whom many say is destined to become one of Jamaica’s biggest dancehall recording and performing artiste. Born Cheston Grossett in the small town of Port Antonio, Portland, it has not been an easy journey in his seeking to become a musical legend. With there being no father figure to mould him towards this dream, KREAM C.G. commitment to the art was catalysed by his affiliation with the KALM KREW KLAN which he joined in 1997. The uniqueness about the KALM KREW KLAN is that you have to lyrically battle your way in, and there was nothing special about Gilligan (KREAM C.G. artiste name at the time) why he should be exempted, and he wasn’t. You had to be a lyrics gladiator then and even more so now to be in KALM. This is what gave KREAM C.G. the drive to survive. Known for his hard-hitting rhymes, melodies and styles KREAM C.G. live performance is an act any and every dancehall lover would want to see repeatedly. His ability to connect with an audience whether in dealing with social and cultural issues or “grimy” to core gangster rhymes, has given him the street respect as an underground artiste. However, not without mentioning, the CEO of Rudelikedat Entertainment, highlighted that KREAM C.G. professionalism in the studio keeps the bills low, and that other producers, engineers and artiste appreciates his attitude towards the business. KREAM C.G. writing skill and remarkable ability to compose words is a reflection of him being an “A” student in both GCE and CXC English studies. KREAM C.G. has a ‘never give up’ attitude, which he adapted from seeing how his mother was able to raise four kids with what little she had. His persona is heavily influenced by his grandmother’s teachings of wisdom, in addition to his spirituality. KREAM is an acronym for KALM REPRESENTS EVRYTHING ABOUT MUSIC; C.G. is for CHESTON GROSSETT. If you know the essence behind the KALM KREW KLAN you should know the calibre of artiste KREAM C.G. is; so if you should ever see him in the streets, do not call him by his name just say, “KALM IS DA KEY!!
